The Role: Software Engineer

The Team: A collaborative, multi-functional team that designs, develops, delivers, and supports software desktop applications within the upstream energy analytics space.

Responsibilities:
Design, code and test enhancements for a Windows-based desktop application written in C++ and C#, with SQL Server as its backend database
Work closely with customer stakeholders to ensure we\xe2\x80\x99re adding value for our users
Work closely with other developers, for example by pair programming and participating in code reviews
Assist our customer facing support team in solving client issues, when necessary
Contribute insights and suggestions as part of our continuous improvement
Generally help out wherever needed to get a high quality release out on time

What We\xe2\x80\x99re Looking For:
Minimum B.Sc. in software engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or equivalent experience
1-3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience with C++, SQL
Experience with C#/.NET, WPF or XAML is a plus
Excellent communication skills
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
An aptitude to learn and adapt quickly in a rapidly changing environment
Intellectual curiosity and desire to learn new things, techniques, and technologies
The ability to build strong working relationships in a collaborative setting

Flexible Working
We pride ourselves on our agility and diversity, and we welcome requests to work flexibly. The selected applicant will work a flexible, virtual work schedule, but may be asked to meet the team onsite from time to time.

Grade/Level ( relevant for internal applicants only ): 9

The Location: Calgary, Alberta, Canada

Compensation/Benefits Information:
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $50,000 to $ 80,000. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
