Business group: Cloud Engineering - team is responsible for provisioning/engineering database and storage technologies for the Bank, work on Azure, GCP to provision the resources
Project: Azure DB team - This role is critical to maintaining and optimizing our Azure based cloud database infrastructure, which underpins several production applications

Typical Day in Role:
Working with Microsoft Azure technologies, including virtual machines, databases, networks etc.
Improve operational efficiency by enabling increased automation and external connections for Cloud databases
Facilitate/Support projects connecting in from external environments
Improved user feedback for those capabilities.
Maintain best of class user experience for our platform.
Maintain a clean support board meeting SLA ensuring users are fully supported for their needs with using our platforms.
Potential work to migrate from Jenkins pipelines to Terraform
Tech stack: Microsoft Azure, Java, SQL - mostly back-end role and towards infrastructure side
Mostly working with provisioning and troubleshooting databases and working with DBAs
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
8+ years of relevant experience as a developer/engineer
3+ years' Microsoft Azure infrastructure experience
3+ years' experience working with databases (e.g. SQL) at an advanced level (can code and troubleshoot in back end)
2+ years' experience programming in Java
Nice-To-Have Skills:
Experience with GCP
Experience with Terraform
Experience with Docker
Experience with CI/CD
Soft Skills Required:
Good communication skills
Team collaboration skills
Education:
Bachelor's in technical field (i.e. computer science, engineering)
Microsoft certified is an asset
Best VS. Average Candidate:
Best has strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure infrastructure especially databases; and expert skills with SQL
