Job Title: Software Engineer

Join an exciting team working on Airborne Systems. As a Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development, design, and analysis of software systems, specifically using C++. You will be part of a dynamic environment where you will document, analyze, and test software in accordance with development standards.
Responsibilities

• Develop, design, and analyze software based on specified requirements using C++.
• Document the analysis, design, and testing processes following development standards.
• Participate actively in code reviews to maintain code quality.
• Develop and perform software tests, including debugging and unit testing.
• Integrate software components and ensure smooth functionality.
• Identify, analyze, document, and resolve software issues and defects.
• Support the system design development process.
• Mentor junior and intermediate developers, fostering their professional growth.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in C++ programming language.
• Experience with Linux operating systems.
• Familiarity with Git version control.
• Understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Experience with embedded software development.
• Knowledge of aerospace defense and digital signal processing (DSP).

Assets

• Experience with C programming.
• Proficiency in Windows operating systems.
• GUI/QT development experience.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Perforce.
• Experience with signal processing.
• Unit testing expertise in both white box and black box testing methodologies.
• Experience in aerospace, naval, or defense sectors.

Work Environment
The position requires working on-site three days per week, providing an opportunity to collaborate directly with the group. This role is embedded within a supportive team environment, working alongside a global leader in engineering services. Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Ottawa, ON.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr.
