About the Role

Client is seeking an experienced

NonStopTandem developer to

join our technology team. The ideal candidate will have hand on experience in developing, enhancing, and supporting applications running on the

HP NonStop (Tandem) platform

. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, secure, and high-performance financial applications.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, enhance, and maintain applications on the HP NonStop (Tandem) platform. Analyze business and technical requirements to implement efficient solutions. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner. Optimize existing application performance and ensure high system availability. Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and infrastructure teams for seamless integration and deployment. Participate in code reviews, testing, and implementation planning. Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing Tandem applications.

Required Skills & Experience

5-10 years

of hands-on experience in

HP NonStop / Tandem development

. Strong proficiency in

TACL, TAL, SCOBOL, COBOL, Enscribe, Pathway, and Guardian OS

. Experience with

SQL/MP, TMF, and NonStop utilities

. Familiarity with

financial/banking systems

or

payment processing applications

is a strong asset. Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. Ability to work independently and in a collaborative, hybrid environment.

Nice to Have

Knowledge of

Base24

,

GoldenGate

, or

SOAP/REST API integration

. Exposure to

Agile development

practices and

CI/CD

pipelines. Prior experience working with

Canadian banking clients

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $80.00-$85.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

Toronto, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
