The Opportunity

Our product development organization is looking for a full stack Software Engineer II to design, develop, integrate, maintain, and test features for our enterprise software product, Hub. If you are someone who has a passion for developing great software and excelling in software development, we encourage you to apply. The Hub team focuses on creating and extending our product features and the software development toolset that form the core of our Software Lifecycle and DevOps Integrations products. You will be a key contributor to Planview Hub with integrations to 60+ IT and planning tool such as Jira, and Service Now, etc. You will be working with Java APIs, databases, and web front ends to ensure we synchronize data while helping drive and support our cloud-first culture.

What You\'ll Do

• Design and develop high quality software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle.
• Determine operational feasibility by evaluating and analyzing problem definitions, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
• Improve operations by conducting technical analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures.Strive to enhance the team by fostering a culture of mentorship, continual learning, knowledge sharing of best practices, and contributing to the positive discussion and idea debates.
• Support customer escalations and resolve production incidents to improve customer success.

What You\'ll Bring

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience with Java, and its idioms and design patterns
• Experience with relational database such as PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, or Oracle
• Experience with AngularJS or React
• Experience working with Java v11 & v17, Spring framework, API-design & API-client design
• A self-starter with the ability to work effectively in teams with clear communication
• Experience maintaining and deploying highly available, fault-tolerant systems
• Experience with continuous integration/deployment tooling such as Jenkins, Travis CI, or others
• Experience working with remote / distributed teams and projects.

Great candidates have:

• Experience designing SDKs, Java libraries, software application frameworks
• Experience working with:

• Jenkins
• Docker configuration
• Application performance monitoring tools such as Datadog, Dynatrace
• Test-drive development
• Windows/Linux installers

• Expected Salary Range for this role: 75,000 CAD to 110,000 CAD.
