Role: Software Development Engineer in Test ((SDET)

This is a permanent, full-time position based in Toronto. Though we are currently working remotely, we are only considering candidates who reside in or are in easy reach of the GTA.
The Role:
The SDET is an integral member of the Quality Assurance team and is responsible for developing and maintaining a suite of automated tests for Mavencare’s web application using the Cypress framework. This role involves writing test designs, implementing test cases, reporting on results and ongoing maintenance of the suite. The is involved “hands-on” with the development team, ensuring appropriate test coverage and that the software functions with the highest standard of quality possible.
SDET Responsibilities include:

• Design, create and execute automation scripts using Cypress and JavaScript.
• Work with the QA team to reduce the overall time required for regression testing releases by prioritizing test cases to be automated.
• Monitor and report on test results and test coverage.
• Actively participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives for the product.
• Provide ongoing support to the continuous improvement process of the QA lifecycle.

• A minimum of 3 years experience in a SDET role for a web-based application.
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle, quality assurance methods and testing principles.
• Experience with Cypress framework and JavaScript.
• Attention to detail, tech-savvy with the ability to quickly learn the product.
• Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• An ability to learn, adapt and grow in response to challenges within the healthcare industry.
