Amazon is building a world class advertising business and we are responsible for building end-to-end products that capture measurement metrics of Streaming TV Ads.We are working on greenfield projects that directly address our customer's needs.

As part of this team, you'll get an opportunity to work across all parts of the stack from big data activities such as data modeling, data pipelines to Apis, CI/CD to the front-end. Our tech stack includes JVM based languages (Scala), Python, AWS Lambda, Spark, EMR, Redshift, React UIs, and other serverless technologies. We are always looking to invent on behalf of the customer so there are opportunities to introduce new technologies and ideas.

Key job responsibilities
You will be responsible for contributing to all stages of the software development lifecycle including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operations. A successful candidate will have the satisfaction of seeing their work on Amazon's advertising websites, where it will be used to drive significantly quantifiable revenue impact.

• Participate in large projects from idea to positive execution
• Write well-designed, well-tested, readable, maintainable code
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and distribute knowledge
• Participate and shape the team's agile practices and processes

About the team
Our team (Streaming TV Ad Measurement team) builds self-service Streaming TV measurement products that help advertisers gain insight into key performance metrics for their Streaming TV advertising campaigns. Using Amazon's unique retail and ads data, we deliver actionable insights that advertisers can use to gauge campaign performance, optimize their budgets mid-flight, and understand the impact of their spend across the entire marketing funnel. These measurement capabilities directly influence future advertising spend on Amazon Streaming TV inventory and are strategically important in driving long-term growth.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 1+ years of experience contributing to the system design or architecture (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
• Programming experience with at least one software programming language.

• Bachelors (BS/BE) or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience in Software Development and full product life-cycles
• Practical knowledge of data structures and complex algorithms with equivalent development skills to match
• Deep problem-solving skills and ability to resolve ambiguous requirements
• Proficiency with at least one of Java/Python/C++/C# languages
• Able to work in a diverse team

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of experience with JVM based technologies(Java, Scala), Python
• 1+ year of experience with Typescript, React
• Strong communication skills for both business and technical audiences
• Experience in the advertising industry
• Experience with Amazon Web Services
• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, EMR, HBase, Kafka
• Skilled in SQL and data modeling
