Job Responsibilities:

  • Design new, scalable, secure, and reliable features that drive real-time data solutions.
  • Define requirements, create software designs, implement code to these specifications
  • Provide thorough unit and integration testing, and support products while deployed and used by our stakeholders
  • Propose innovative tools, frameworks, automations and processes that are used by the entire services team for development.
  • Deep-dive into client or server systems to optimize for performance, maintainability, scalability, extensibility as needed.
  • Collaborate with other engineers on the team, product managers, technical program managers, and partner teams.
  • Dealing with ambiguity when solving problems

Key job responsibilities
  • Be heavily involved with design and product teams to understand needs, propose features, create early prototypes and transform them into exciting experiences.
  • Design new, scalable, secure, and reliable features that drive real-time data solutions.
  • Know how to integrate data from a large number of services.
  • Write clean, maintainable code and perform peer code-reviews
  • Deep-dive into client or server systems to optimize for performance, maintainability, scalability, extensibility as needed.
  • Propose innovative tools, frameworks, automations and processes that are used by the entire services team for development.
  • Mentor team members to promote engineering excellence

A day in the life
The primary focus for this role will be a mixture of system/code design as well as coding on a collection of tools our customers use to manager their Advertising campaigns, in bulk.

A day in the life of an engineer on this team starts with a daily stand-up with the team to discuss task progress, identify blockers and work closely with your peers to unblock each other, as needed. We work closely with our Technical Account Managers and Product Manager to identify customer pain points and opportunities to delight our customers with features to add to our product.

You will have an opportunity to own key projects, from design, through implementation and support, levering senior/principal engineers in the organization to ensure they are reliable, scalable, and maintainable.

About the team
This high performing, and very collaborative team is defining and building the future of Bulk Operations within the Advertising Organization. We've recently updated our self-service bulk operations solution to offer advanced functionality and help our customers create, manage, and optimize campaigns at scale.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 1+ years of experience contributing to the system design or architecture (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
  • Programming experience with at least one software programming language.
  • 3+ years experience building production software systems
  • Core Competency in object-oriented programming
  • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Able to work on a diverse team
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through launch
  • Experience in communicating with customers, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs.
