Amazon Sortation Technologies are a key part of that solution, enabling the flow of inventory into and out of warehouses and the consolidation of items for a shipment.Are you ready for a challenge? Would you like to use your engineering or computer science background to optimize and solve complex problem's in Amazon Fulfillment Technologies? Are you interested in building algorithms that predict the state of downstream systems and make decisions in real-time? As a Software Development Engineer, you will be responsible to develop our next generation of systems, work that includes directing containers on the sorters and workcells scaling our systems to handle hundreds of thousands of concurrent transactions. The candidate in this role will have an opportunity to own design and development of distributed systems on AWS platform. You will influence system design and implementation to ensure the best user experience for maximum adoption. You will contribute to a wide range of projects in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment. You will become part of a world-class engineering team solving challenging problems at scale.A commitment to teamwork, hustle, and strong communication skills are absolute requirements. Creating reliable, scalable, and high-performance services and architectures require exceptional technical expertise. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience Experience programming with at least one software programming language
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
