Job Posting - Software Developer - AXIS Regulatory (remote, must be located in Ontario)
Job Overview
Works closely with product owner, regulatory agencies, legal teams, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements and to address any compliance-related issues.
Incorporate requirements into software design, architecture, coding, and testing processes. To ensure software systems and applications meet all regulatory requirements and standards.
Comply with applicable regulations, protect user data, maintain data integrity, and mitigate legal and financial risks for the organization.
What You Will Do
Work with stakeholders, development team, and Agile project managers to define business requirements for every scrum / project and map out end-to-end solutions.
Design, develop, enhance, modify, and maintain application code and software solutions based on specific business requirements.
Liaise with internal user groups as needed to effectively program applications based on business and systems requirements.
Ensure functional specifications can be implemented technically while developing and innovating creative solutions.
Work collaboratively with peers and business partners to deliver high quality projects and innovative solutions that advance Fidelity\xe2\x80\x99s position within the Mutual Fund Industry.
What We\xe2\x80\x99re Looking For
Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Economics or Mathematics.
2+ years of related experience with application development and implementation.
Experience working with Relational Databases (i.e., SQL).
Experience working within Financial Industry is an asset.
Working knowledge of Progress ABL (4GL) is an asset.
Experience with RESP, FATCA/CRS, and/or other government regulations is an asset.
