Job Posting - Software Developer - AXIS Regulatory (remote, must be located in Ontario)

Job Overview

• Works closely with product owner, regulatory agencies, legal teams, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements and to address any compliance-related issues.
• Incorporate requirements into software design, architecture, coding, and testing processes. To ensure software systems and applications meet all regulatory requirements and standards.
• Comply with applicable regulations, protect user data, maintain data integrity, and mitigate legal and financial risks for the organization.

What You Will Do

• Work with stakeholders, development team, and Agile project managers to define business requirements for every scrum / project and map out end-to-end solutions.
• Design, develop, enhance, modify, and maintain application code and software solutions based on specific business requirements.
• Liaise with internal user groups as needed to effectively program applications based on business and systems requirements.
• Ensure functional specifications can be implemented technically while developing and innovating creative solutions.
• Work collaboratively with peers and business partners to deliver high quality projects and innovative solutions that advance Fidelity\xe2\x80\x99s position within the Mutual Fund Industry.

What We\xe2\x80\x99re Looking For

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Economics or Mathematics.

• 2+ years of related experience with application development and implementation.
• Experience working with Relational Databases (i.e., SQL).
• Experience working within Financial Industry is an asset.
• Working knowledge of Progress ABL (4GL) is an asset.
• Experience with RESP, FATCA/CRS, and/or other government regulations is an asset.
