Tasks

Write, modify, integrate and test software code Maintain existing computer programs by making modifications as required Identify and communicate technical problems, processes and solutions Prepare reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of software Assist in the collection and documentation of user\'s requirements Assist in the development of logical and physical specifications Recruit, train and supervise staff Plan and control budget and expenditures Establish and implement policies and procedures for information systems Authorize the development of specifications for products or services Assign, co-ordinate and review projects and programs Lead and co-ordinate teams of information systems professionals in the development of software and integrated information systems, process control software and other embedded software control systems Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations Meet with clients to discuss system requirements, specifications, costs and timelines
