Job Title: Software Developer

We are looking for passionate Software Developers to join our team as full-time consultants, offering enhanced benefits. The initial project involves working closely with project managers on software upgrades for legacy products, fixing bugs, and developing features for a groundbreaking satellite communication technology. This technology enables communication with satellites via Wifi from anywhere and aims to expand the constellation of satellites.
Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded software systems written in C++ for aircraft-based satellite communication applications.
• Interact with professionals across various departments, organizations, and locations globally.
• Contribute to feature development and bug fixing for software upgrades.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in C++ with a focus on embedded systems.
• Experience with Linux, specifically 3 or more years in developing applications for Linux.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Understanding of DO-178 standards and communication protocols.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge of DO-178C standards.
• Experience with networking and communication protocols.

Work Environment
The work environment offers flexibility with a hybrid model requiring presence in the Montreal office three days a week, or fully remote work for those outside Montreal. There will be occasional travel to Ottawa, no more than once a month, with expenses covered. The project involves working on geosynchronous satellites, providing an exciting opportunity in next-generation technology.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr.
