These teams are instrumental in providing support to all Amsted Industries entities locations worldwide.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Software Developer for Baltimore Aircoil Company, an Amsted Industries entity. For more than 80 years, Baltimore Aircoil Company has been leading the HVAC, Industrial and Refrigeration industries in developing and implementing customized cooling solutions that not only provide substantial energy savings for customers but conserve the most precious resources on the planet.

Position Details
This Software Developer position will work on programming for the software of electromechanical control systems that meet our product needs. You will be a part of a growing team that is leading our digitalization journey. Members of this team will be challenged to innovate in quickly growing our digital footprint. What you will do:

• Participate on controls software projects and focus on software design implementation and programming
• Produce efficient and elegant code that meets software spec requirements
• Test and debug codes
• Deploy software and document the work
• Participate in Agile sprint planning and retrospective
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and upgrade existing software
• Support software related field issues as presented and work to satisfy the customer\xe2\x80\x99s expectation/timeline including troubleshooting, debugging, and upgrading software
• Provide software support for other departments
• Use industry accepted best practices in software development

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Experience in software languages such as C/C++, C#, Python, Structured Text, and other PLC languages, Beckhoff TwinCAT experience a plus
• Experience in HVAC applications a plus
• Good remote communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills
• Demonstrated capability with Microsoft Office
• Nimble learning & driving results
• Software development Agile experience is a plus
• Knowledge of issues tracking systems, Jira a plus
• Knowledge of revisions management software, git a plus

Compensation & Benefits:

• Excellent base salary and targeted annual bonus structure (Entry Salary: $50,000 plus bonus; Salary will be determined based on skills, ability, and qualifications)

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in computer science, engineering, or related discipline with 2+ years of experience in software development; or Associate Degree in a related discipline with 4+ years of experience in software development

This position requires travel both domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time. This position is being filled in our Charlottetown office and is not available for remote work at this time.
