Job Summary:This role involves developing and maintaining a complex Oracle Siebel solution for the Government of Ontario. The Software Developer will be responsible for data migration, system integration, troubleshooting, and knowledge transfer to internal teams. The position requires extensive experience with Siebel Public Sector, various integration technologies, and agile development methodologies. Partial assignment to projects related to the "Protect Ontario by Unleashing Our Economy Act 2025" may be required.Location: Ontario, CanadaResponsibilities:- Data migration and file attachment migration, including metadata.
- Support, maintenance, prototyping, and configuration of the Oracle Siebel solution.
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues in development and production environments.
- Integrating Siebel with other ministry applications using web services or other mechanisms.
- Conducting root cause analysis to resolve defects/incidents.
- Documenting processes, technical designs, and updating build books.
- Providing accurate estimates for features/enhancements.
- Collaborating with LRC and program staff to expedite implementation.
- Designing and developing prototypes and proof of concepts.
- Planning and developing data migration and integration (ETL or web services).
- Ensuring compliance with I&IT and Communication standards.
- Ensuring designs are re-sizable and scalable for multiple screen platforms.
- Recommending efficient code management technologies.
- Ensuring web pages are AODA compliant and compatible across multiple browsers.
- Developing testing scripts to ensure integrity during change.
- Defining diagnostic methods to aid incident management.
- Engaging with LRC staff to troubleshoot migration problems.
- Knowledge transfer to LRC staff.Required Skills & Certifications:- 10+ years' experience solutioning and configuring complex Siebel Public Sector solutions, including Siebel e-Services, Siebel Remote, Siebel EAI, EIM, SMARTScript, Web Services, and Siebel BI Publisher.
- 10+ years' experience integrating with Single Sign-On solutions (OID, ONe-Key, GO-PKI, Public Secure).
- 5+ years' experience developing Web Services using SOAP.
- 5+ years' experience developing integration using REST services.
- 5+ years' experience customizing Siebel Open UI and PM/PR scripting.
- 5+ years' experience with Siebel Smart Scripts and Task-based UI.
- 4+ years' experience with Jscript bootstrap framework.
- 10+ years' experience developing unit testing scripts.
- 10+ years' experience setting up solutions with multi-organization data structures and data visibility.
- 10+ years' experience configuring picklists and lists-of-value (LOV) for multiple organizations and languages.
- 2+ years' experience configuring in Siebel IP 20.x.
- 10+ years' experience with Siebel Public Sector 8.x.
- 10+ years' experience with Siebel EAI, Web Services, data transformation, and integration.
- 10+ years' experience with Siebel data modeling and EIM.
- 10+ years' experience installing, designing, and configuring complex Siebel Public Sector systems.
- 10+ years' experience troubleshooting large, complex Siebel Public Sector systems.
- 10+ years' experience integrating Siebel Public Sector with non-Siebel systems.
- 10+ years' experience with Siebel development best practices and standards.
- 5+ years' experience with AODA, WCAG, and assistive technologies.
- Experience with Oracle development methodologies, tools, and resources.
- Experience documenting technical blueprints, build-books, and procedure manuals.
