Your opportunity

We are looking for a Software Developer to join our IT team. While being able to work out of any of our Canadian offices, you will own the following responsibilities:

• Reporting to the Manager, Development Services, the Software Developer is responsible for software architecture, design, development, support, and maintenance of the Firm's business applications.
• Architect, design, develop, review, and maintain web applications and solutions based on industry standards and best practices
• Actively participate in all phases of projects including development, design, testing and production
• Work independently and collaborate with technical subject matter experts to develop IT solutions, and resolve issues related to database or application integrity
• Provide subject matter expertise to others within the IT Department and the Firm regarding BDO application solution architecture
• Understand and interpret business requirements into a functional design that can be proposed to the different practices within the Firm
• Work directly with the business teams, and/or Project Managers to assist in business operational and project related matters
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with key business partners, internal firm functions, and IT stakeholders, ensuring business and technical objectives are met
• Research and initiate innovative application ideas that would be beneficial to the Firm

Your experience and education

• You have a University Degree/Diploma in Computer Science/Engineering or related discipline preferred
• You have 3+ years of experience with ASP.Net, .Net Core, C#, MVC, Entity Framework, SQL Server, and T-SQL
• You have 3+ years of experience with modern front-end development technologies including Typescript, React, HTML5 and CSS3
• You have 3+ years of experience with web service protocols such as REST, SOAP and API design for extensibility, portability and debug experience with Postman and Swagger
• You have 4+ years of experience with agile development practices and associated disciplines such as CI/CD, Git, Kanban board
• You have 3+ years of experience with Azure services - Function app, Logic app, Key Vault, Redis cache, Storage, Identity/Access management and Containers
• If you have experience on developing Office 365 SharePoint Online with SharePoint Framework (SPFx) web parts by React, it is an asset
• If you have experience with Workday Web Services and Workday Cloud Platform, it is an asset
• If you have experience with ServiceNow, it is an asset
• You have highly proficient knowledge of object-oriented programming and design patterns
• You have strong interpersonal skills, demonstrated ability to work successfully with teams across the organization, including IT and various departments and senior leadership
• You have strong technical documentation skills, time management skills and ability to co-ordinate multiple tasks including capability of working independently, while being a collaborative member of the team
• You have strong oral and written communication skills
