As a member of the Suzuki Canada Inc. Information Technology Team you will be responsible to design, develop and validate software solutions that will support and improve our core systems that will ensure that we are ready to face new challenges.
LOCATION:
This position is located at our Barrie, Ontario corporate office on a full-time basis, Monday to Friday, 5 days per week.
ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE:
This position reports to the Manager, IT. There are no direct reports. This role will interact with all levels in the organization.

This position is critical in supporting the technology that connects our operations, dealers, and customers across Canada.
The employee is responsible to support modern applications, ERP systems, and legacy solutions that keep Suzuki Canada running smoothly.

Responsibilities
SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES (not listed in priority):
Design, develop, and maintain applications using C#, .NET, and Blazor (Server).
Build and manage Entity Framework models, controllers, services, and implement Dependency Injection (DI).
Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL Server/MySQL databases, including stored procedures and query performance tuning.
Design, implement, and integrate RESTful APIs.
Collaborate using Git/GitHub, including pull requests, branching strategies, and automated pipelines.
Support ERP systems and integrate with external platforms.
Maintain and modernize legacy applications built with ASP.NET WebForms and .NET Framework.
Configure, deploy, and support applications in AWS and on Microsoft IIS.
Write and maintain unit tests to support automation and quality practices

We are seeking candidates who provide the following expertise and competencies:
EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES AND SKILL
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a software development role
Programming & Development
+ Strong experience with C# and modern web application development.
+ Exposure to Blazor (Server) and .NET 9 is an asset.
+ Solid understanding of Entity Framework, Controllers, Services.
Database Expertise
+ Proficiency with SQL Server and MySQL.
+ Skilled in Transact-SQL (T-SQL), stored procedures/views, query optimization performance tuning.
API Design & Integration
+ Knowledge of RESTful API design and integration best practices.
+ Hands-on experience validating integrations using Postman or equivalent tools.
Version Control & Collaboration
+ Experience with Git (local Git server) and GitHub.
+ Familiar with collaboration workflows and GitHub Actions for build and deployment pipelines.
