Our ideal candidate is someone with a significant amount of software development experience including prior experience as a team lead. We are looking for someone who loves to learn, who is not confined to one language, can jump in anywhere to solve problems, and does not back into a corner when faced with a complex technical challenge.



Our ideal candidate is someone who loves to learn, who is not confined to one language but can jump in anywhere and solve problems. Your role will require you to master our core tech stacks and services, work with our development team and to provide critical decisions for our products.

Responsibilities

Establish and maintain mastery with our core tech stack

Architect and implement stable end-to-end solutions

Promote best practices, including peer reviews & building for testability

Identify and mitigate risks to systems, schedules, and projects

Proactively collaborate with teammates and project stakeholders in Agile Scrum

Requirements

Minimum of 1+ years of software development experience

Some experience working with Cloud Infrastructures (AWS or others)

Proficiency in a scripting language such as Bash, Python

Fluent with relational databases (MySql, Postgresql or equivalent)

Knowledge of Software testing best practices

Fluent with Git

Uses either Mac OSX or Linux as main work environment

Bonus skills

Experience in designing and maintaining APIs

Experience with Javascript

Familiar with Data processing

Familiar with Docker and Continuous Integration tools (eg: circle-ci, Jenkins)
