Job Description


Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Test Engineering Group Leader, you will be responsible for software design as well as test and calibration software support for the manufacture and repair of our test and measurement instruments.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Design and develop software and test sequences using strategies developed with technical leaders.
  • Identify software requirements based on electronic schematic analysis in order to exercise all the circuits of the board.
  • Perform the programming required for the development of test and calibration benches.
  • Perform the start-up, qualification and transfer of test solution to production (deployment) on the test benches.
  • Code the software components necessary to interface the test software with the instruments (driver) and/or with other tools (BD or other).
  • Assist technical leaders in the development of new strategies and standards related to product production and repair testing.
  • Provide support on test and calibration stations as required.
Technical skills
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming language (C#, C++).
  • Be able to read schematics and understand electronic circuits for test coverage purposes.
  • Strong interest in developing new knowledge in software programming specific to the manufacturing environment (NI Teststand).
  • Experience in coding instrument drivers is an asset.
  • Experience with databases (SQL Server/MSDE) is an asset.
  • Con the birth of source management and version control methodologies.
  • Be able to write technical documents.

Requirements

Relevant experience: 5 years of experience in software development. Experience in the field of test & measurement will be considered an important asset.

Language requirement: Bilingual (advanced French and functional English)

Education: Bachelor\'s degree in software engineering, electrical engineering, engineering physics or equivalent.
