What will you do?


Are you a highly motivated individual with a passion for leveraging technology to solve complex industrial problems? If so, we want you to join our team as an Software Application Engineer/Specialist focused on control systems in the water industry.

  • Design and development of HMI displays using the latest industry standards
  • Configuration of SCADA
  • Develop customer reports using Excel, SQL Server Reporting Services (SRRS) and other reporting tools
  • Participate in customer workshops on topics such as database, display, architecture or security design.
  • Design and development of software for project customizations including customer enhancements, communication protocols to field devices, calculated points and corporate interfaces
  • Provide onsite support for system testing, commissioning and cutover including debugging solutions
  • Perform bug fixing and maintenance on established products including providing customer support services
  • Participate in providing product documentation, including user level and internal documentation
Qualifications:


What qualifications will make you successful for this role?


  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a similar discipline
  • Three to five years of relevant experience
  • Experience with control systems and SCADA highly desirable
  • Knowledge of Enterprise SCADA (OASyS) (asset)
  • Self-starter with the ability to quickly learn new technologies and platforms
  • Effective communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential for success in this role
  • Ability to travel to 10-20% of the time on average is required. Infrequent travel across the United States and Canada is expected to visit customers during the project design phase and later in the installation and commissioning phase.


Desired qualifications:
  • Knowledge of programming and scripting languages such as C++, C#, C# script, VB.NET, and Powershell
  • Familiarity with AVEVA PI, Virtualization (VMWare, Hyper-V) and PLCs.
  • SQL database skills (queries, table creation, programming, reporting, database admin)
