About Us:

The Hive Mental Health Services is an expanding practice focused on overall well-being, healing, and practical skills to help clients gain confidence and improve their lives and relationships. We value community engagement, offering pro bono and sliding scale assistance, as well as hosting community events like warm meal nights. We seek like-minded individuals committed to the field of mental health beyond just financial gain.

Responsibilities:

- Perform client intake and create case plans

- Assist clients with practical skills to understand and manage their mental health

- Maintain thorough client records

- Manage billing to insurance and clients via an online platform

-Maintain an up to date schedule.

-Participate in social media content: posts & reels (educational and humour), pictures & blogs

Qualifications:

- Educational Background: BSW or MSW

- Must have liability insurance and be in good standing with the governing body

- Tenant insurance required

-Must have a strong base understanding of private practice requirements & how it differs from public.

-Must be willing to work a mix of days, evenings and the occasional weekend.

Skills:

- Strong communication and critical thinking skills

- Professional development training related to mental health and counseling

- Ability to multitask and work under pressure

- Empathetic, professional, and compassionate demeanor.

-Able to problem solve adequately.

-Able to navigate client concerns.

- Understanding of community resources and mental health disorders

- Experience working with children is an asset

Client Demographics:

Candidates will work with a variety of clients, including adults, couples, and youth, focusing on issues such as anxiety, anger, depression, overstimulation, trauma, communication breakdowns, bipolar disorder, and borderline disorder.

Compensation:

Compensation will be based on experience through a contract split. We offer advertising support and guidance to help you grow and develop your skills.

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $40.00-$60.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 20 per week
