Villa Rosa is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated
Social Worker
to join our multidisciplinary team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting pregnant and parenting youth and young adults through trauma-informed care, advocacy, and collaborative planning.

Key Responsibilities
Provide individual counseling to residents, partners, and families to support planning for themselves and their babies
Conduct social/emotional assessments and offer trauma-informed support in areas such as abuse, neglect, PTSD, and family dysfunction
Facilitate decision-making and goal-setting processes with residents
Coordinate case management and collaborate with external agencies and professionals
Develop and lead programming (e.g., Smoking Awareness, Adoption Support, Anger Management)
Track medical appointments and assist residents in accessing community health resources
Maintain accurate documentation in Villa Rosa's information system (ROSE)
Facilitate resident group meetings and conflict resolution
Advocate for residents and liaise with community services
Supervise social work students and support outreach referrals
Remain available to past residents for occasional support or referral
Qualifications & Experience
Education:
Bachelor of Social Work (BSW)
Registered or eligible for registration with the Manitoba College of Social Workers
First Aid & CPR Level C (or willingness to obtain)
Experience:
Working with individuals in crisis
Case management and social work assessments
Supporting pregnant and parenting youth
Leading therapeutic or educational groups
Knowledge of addictions and Alcohol-Related Neurodevelopmental Disorders (ARND)
Additional Requirements
Clear Criminal Record Check
Child Abuse Registry and Adult Abuse Registry clearance
Valid driver's license
