Position Summary

Bayshore Medical Personnel is in search of a Social Worker interested in PART TIME work to join a healthcare clinic that provides medical services for all clients of various risk levels. This includes but is not limited to: adult males, adult females, families, pregnant women, 2SLGBTQI+ individuals, minors, persons suffering from a medical condition or disability, addictions, persons with suspected or diagnosed mental illness, and victims of human trafficking.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:




Providing personal care assessments. Providing individual counselling and therapy. Evaluating and monitoring individual progression. Maintaining and updating records; Making referrals to medical professionals, when appropriate; and, Providing awareness about external resources for continuing support.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience within the last five (5) years, working as a Social Worker. Bachelor and/or Master's degree in Social Work from an institution indicating the program has been accredited by the Canadian Association Social Work Education.

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

A valid RELIABILITY STATUS security clearance (request form and fingerprint form will be provided by Bayshore and

full reimbursement

) A Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) (must be within one-year) Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) Certification (must be within two-years)
