Your Opportunity:

Working collaboratively and as part of a multidisciplinary team, the Social Worker II works in a fast-paced environment to provide Social Work supports to patients and families who are receiving care and service within the ICU and coverage to Emergency Department/CRH during weekend hours. Services include psychosocial assessment, crisis intervention, education, treatment, advocacy, resource navigation and consultation, making appropriate referrals both internal and external to the hospital, and liaising with community agencies/programs. The Social Worker participates in non-patient care activities such as program planning, evaluation, quality improvement research and staff development along with other duties as required.

As a Social Worker II, you will be a member of an inter-disciplinary team and provides a range of social work services to patients and their families. Your services may include: psychosocial assessment, resource-based interventions, individual, group and family treatment, risk screening, counselling, case management and coordination, transition or discharge planning, and prevention, promotion and public awareness activities.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of bachelor\'s degree in Social Work. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW). Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years professional Social Work experience. This position requires a high degree of independence, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and an ability to prioritize workload. Excellent working knowledge of mental health and addictions, trauma informed care, grief and loss, and crisis intervention skills are required. Knowledge and ability to use computer applications including Meditech, Connect Care, Netcare, Microsoft Office suite. Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience working in the health care setting.
