Your Opportunity:

As a Social Worker II on the Addiction Recovery Community Health team (ARCH), you will be a member of an inter-disciplinary team and provide a range of social work services to patients affected by homelessness and/or who experience substance use disorders. Your services may include psychosocial assessment, resource-based interventions, individual, group and family treatment, risk screening, counselling, case management and coordination, transition or discharge planning, and prevention, promotion and public awareness activities.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of bachelor\'s degree in Social Work. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW). Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year experience working in an acute care or community setting. Minimum 1 year working with clients or patients who experience substance use disorders and/or homelessness. Demonstrated knowledge of Harm Reduction principles. Demonstrated knowledge of Calgary Zone community resources. Preferred Qualifications:

Current BCLS. Connect Care training completion. Recent experience in acute care. Recent experience working with community agencies in Calgary for housing, income and identification purposes. Recent experience working with marginalized populations. Ability to form relationships with both community partners for both health and social needs. Demonstrated knowledge of Application processes within Alberta (i.e., AISH, Alberta Works).
