I am seeking mental health professionals to join my budding practice The Hive Mental Health Services. The Hive Mental Health Services is based on the ideology that counselling is most effective when it is comfortable, relatable, and offers easily implementable skills and tools. As a smaller practice, a candidate that has a warm and inviting personality, can work independently, is comfortable managing their own emails and a client case load of 5-25 hours a week, is ideal for this position. Community service is a big part of my heart and the foundation of The Hive Mental Health Services, and so the willingness to take part: in a sliding scale and community service events (like the annual warm meal night I host with Boston Pizza, our thanksgiving foodbank collection event, and our christmas gift basket) is a must.
Work Environment
I aim to create a relaxed work environment that feels safe for clients and practitioners, I embody humor and a sense of welcome. My goal for the contract counsellor is that they have a good and healthy income, gain knowledge and experience, and have consistent clients and hours that can maintain a comfortable lifestyle. As the new location will open mid summer, you will have the opportunity to create a personal touch in your office with your own furniture and decor (if you choose- you can elect not to and the room will be decorated for you), We will provide, coffee, paper, printers, and ink, each practitioner will use their own personal laptop to lessen the learning curve. A booking site, advertising, and account with heidi scribe will be provided for you, as will supervision (if you do not have one currently established). Practitioners can decide if they want to wear casual or business attire to work (I work with many youth clients, and exclusively book only youth on halloween so i can wear a costume- so this is a judgement free zone lol).
This is also an environment of growth and development, if you have ideas or professional goals, share them- I want to help each practitioner grow and feel heard, confident and comfortable as a member of the team.
