Key Responsibilities


Provide individual counselling and/or family support to client(s) using a range of appropriate methodologies, practices and techniques to meet client(s) needs. Formulate and develop client-centred service plans including crisis interventions, internal agency responses and referrals, linkages and referrals to external resources, follow-ups, etc. Develop positive relationships with school staff, students and their families and contribute significantly to building a learning team Develop and maintain ongoing referral relationships within the human services sector, while also delivering workshops to students and administrative staff as needed. Facilitate coordination of services, which includes the provision of information, advocacy, and referral to both internal Agency and external resources. Liaise with school designates, with families and with other professionals to provide consultation and support services Organize client related documents, records and data collection for internal and external reporting purposes. Perform other duties as assigned




What You Will Bring:


Masters of Social Work (MSW) or equivalent related degree Registered member of OCSWSSW in good standing Minimum 3 years related clinical experience Knowledge and/or expertise in specific clinical therapeutic interventions, such as Motivational Interviewing, Brief Therapy, CBT, and/or group psychotherapy Knowledge of Matrix and other data management systems is a strong asset. Strong interpersonal skills, tact and diplomacy and the ability to work as a team player within a diverse work environment Strong clinical and assessment skills Ability to establish rapport, credibility and build strong relationships with clients and colleagues Comprehension of French or another language will be considered an asset
