Reporting directly to the Research Operations Manager, General Adult Psychiatry and Health Systems, CAMH is seeking a casual Social Worker 2 to provide Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy (PAT). In this position, you will work on several clinical trials that will assess the clinical effects of PAT and the feasibility and tolerability of psilocybin in individuals with treatment-resistant depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, bipolar disorder, body dysmorphic disorder, and other diagnoses. Your primary responsibility will be to provide PAP, a form of non-directive therapy, during psilocybin dosing sessions to research participants. You will also be responsible for preparing research participants for PAP sessions and providing follow-up and de-brief therapy to participants who have completed PAP. You will attend training sessions, provide specialist assessment of a patient\'s suitability for PAP, and work closely with another clinician to provide PAP to research participants. You will also be responsible for the administration of clinical assessments and maintenance of study records during therapy sessions. This position is located at 1001 Queen Street West.The successful candidate will possess a Master of Social Work (MSW) in good standing combined with a preferred minimum of 3 years of post-graduate, direct clinical (psychotherapy) experience in the provision of mental health and/or addictions treatment. As a registered member in good standing authorized to perform the controlled act of psychotherapy, the candidate must show proof of registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). The candidate must have competence to perform psychotherapy and experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) or other modalities (depending on the needs of the program). Preference will be given to those who hold certificates/certification. The candidate must be in \'independent practice\' as it pertains to performing psychotherapy. Experience in a mental health/addiction setting is required. Experience in a multidisciplinary teamwork setting is required. Preference will be given to those who have expertise in PAT. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written communication skills, computer skills, including word-processing, electronic communication, and workload measures are essential.
