We are seeking a qualified teacher who must possess:
A Manitoba Teacher's Certificate, or eligibility for teacher certification in the Province of Manitoba.
A major in social sciences, and a strong scholastic/academic background.
Demonstrated ability to instruct social studies at the high school level.
Demonstrated ability in the differentiation of instruction and evaluation to meet the needs of all learners.
Preference will be given to candidates who possess:
Previous successful senior years teaching experience.
Previous experience teaching Geography and Indigenous Studies at the high school level.
History/social studies background at the high school level preferred.
Demonstrated ability and experience with English as an Additional Language learners.
Knowledge and understanding of teaching literacy through the curriculum.
Knowledge, skills and ability to infuse technology into the curriculum.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as an effective member of a team in delivery a quality program.
