Position Summary:

We are seeking a Social Media Researcher to help identify high-performing trends, formats, and content patterns across short-form social platforms. This role involves monitoring TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts, then organizing insights into a shared spreadsheet for use by our content team. This position is ideal for someone who actively engages with social media culture and understands emerging digital trends.

Key Responsibilities:

Research short-form content trends across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts Track viral posts, trending audio, editing styles, and creator approaches Document findings in a shared spreadsheet, including post links and performance details Provide brief notes on content format, visual style, and why the content is effective Highlight strong opportunities for upcoming content planning Stay informed on evolving trends, features, and platform behaviors

Required Qualifications:

Familiarity with TikTok, Instagram Reels, and short-form social content Ability to recognize engagement drivers and explain content performance Comfortable using Google Sheets or Excel for data organization Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and self-directed work habits

Preferred Qualities:

Naturally curious and spends time exploring social platforms Shows awareness of meme formats, sound trends, and editing styles Enjoys contributing ideas and supporting creative direction
