As a member of the HQ marketing team, you will help elevate the brand's presence online and capture high-end product imagery consistent with our luxury positioning.

Role Overview



As the Social Media Specialist & Product Photographer you will:

Own and execute content creation for Opulence Global's social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest), planning, scheduling, posting, engagement, and community building. Develop a social media strategy aligned with brand goals (brand awareness, product launches, e-commerce conversions, influencer partnerships). Photograph products (fashion accessories, jewellery, beauty/skincare, wellness items) to produce high-quality imagery for website, social, catalogues and advertising. Manage the complete photography workflow: concept, styling, photography (in studio and/or on-location), retouching (or liaising with retoucher), image asset management. Collaborate with product, e-commerce and marketing teams to ensure imagery meets brand standards and supports campaigns. Monitor social media performance metrics, provide insights and recommendations for optimization. Stay current with social media trends (especially short-form video, reels, stories) and product photography trends (flat-lays, lifestyle images, influencer content). Coordinate with external agencies/creatives as needed, while maintaining in-house production capabilities. Ensure brand consistency: tone of voice, visual style, luxury aesthetic.

Key Responsibilities



Create monthly content calendars for social channels (posts, stories, reels, paid social) in coordination with the Marketing Manager. Execute product photography shoots: studio set-up, lighting, styling, model coordination (where needed), props/backgrounds, post-production. Manage asset library: tag, organize, archive images for use across marketing, e-commerce and social channels. Write engaging captions, hashtags, and coordinate with the community manager for comments/DMs. Track and report KPIs: follower growth, engagement rate, reach, conversion from social to site, ROI of paid campaigns. Optimize content for each channel (dimensions, time-of-day, format). Assist in influencer content photography or brand shoot coordination. Work with product launch team: prepare teaser imagery, product reveal posts, and lookbook assets. Maintain and upgrade photography equipment and software (camera bodies, lenses, lighting, editing software). Ensure all visual content aligns with brand guidelines (colours, tone, typography, aesthetic).

Qualifications & Skills



Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Marketing, Communications, Photography or related field. 5+ years of experience in social media management in a fashion/beauty/wellness brand environment. 4+ years of experience in product photography (ideally jewellery/fashion/accessories or beauty products). Strong portfolio of product photography and social media work. Proficient with DSLR/mirrorless cameras, studio lighting, photo editing software (Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom) and ideally video editing for social (Adobe Premiere, After Effects, or mobile editing apps). Solid understanding of social media platforms: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube, and LinkedIn, including paid formats. Strong creative eye for styling, composition, lighting, props and brand visuals. Excellent written communication, able to craft social copy that resonates with the target audience. Analytical mindset: comfortable interpreting social metrics and adjusting strategy accordingly. Ability to manage multiple shoots and content pipelines, meet deadlines and work cross-functionally. Detail-oriented, brand-conscious, strong organizational skills. Experience with e-commerce product imagery (including white background, lifestyle, 360 or video) is a plus. Familiarity with influencer marketing and social advertising is an asset. Willingness to work occasional extended hours for product launches, events or shoots.

Compensation



Competitive salary, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional compensation may include performance bonus (based on social metrics / campaign results)
