Job Description

The Social Media Representative is responsible for enhancing West Edmonton Mall and Fantasyland Hotel's digital presence by developing compelling content, engaging with the online community, and providing exceptional customer support through social media channels and CRM tools.

Primary Responsibilities:

Create compelling photo and video content that highlights West Edmonton Mall and Fantasyland Hotel in a positive and engaging manner across all social media platforms - including Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter), TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube. Collaborate with the Social Content Specialist and Social Media Coordinator to ideate content, set social media goals, and create visual and written communication that connects with target audiences. Actively engage with West Edmonton Mall and Fantasyland Hotel's online community by monitoring and responding to guest comments, identifying high-quality user generated content, and monitoring DM responses to ensure accuracy. Utilize CRM tool to schedule, monitor, and provide analytics for social media posts across multiple accounts. Stay up to date on social media trends, innovations, and best practices to further enhance West Edmonton Mall and Fantasyland Hotel's social media presence. Attend West Edmonton Mall and Fantasyland Hotel events, including evenings and weekends as needed, to conduct live coverage and collect photo/video content for future use. Write engaging, on-brand copy that connects with target audiences while ensuring factual and grammatical accuracy. Review social media posts for accuracy and brand alignment, removing any inappropriate comments in accordance with West Edmonton Mall and Fantasyland Hotel's social media guidelines and compiling guest feedback for review as needed. Maintain strong knowledge of West Edmonton Mall and Fantasyland Hotel's offerings and experiences to serve as an ambassador for the property and provide accurate information to guests.
Desired Qualifications:

Degree or certificate in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related discipline is an asset. In-depth knowledge of social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube. Strong content creation skills, including photo, video, and written communication. Experience using social media management and content creation tools such as Sprout Social, Canva, CapCut, and Asana. Excellent multi-tasking, organizational and critical thinking skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment. Self-motivated and resourceful, with the ability to ideate and problem solve effectively.
Terms of Employment:

This is a full-time, hourly position that requires flexible availability on evenings and weekends. Must be able to pass a basic security clearance.
