Position Summary

Black & McDonald Limited is actively seeking a Social Media Marketing Specialist to be located at 75 Commerce Valley Dr E in Markham. The Social Media Marketing Specialist will be responsible for developing and managing Black & McDonald\'s online presence across all internal and external digital communications channels.

Duties & Responsibilities

Work shall include but not necessarily be bound by the following:

CONTENT CREATION

  • Create and implement engaging and impactful content for social media platforms, showcasing our expertise, project success stories, our people, and our industry leadership/thought leadership
  • Produce high-quality content, including social media posts, videos, infographics, and other multimedia formats, by leveraging social and design platforms such as Hootsuite, Canva, and InVideo.
  • Develop content and impactful short videos showcasing our projects, people, company culture and hiring initiatives.
  • Publish content, campaigns and report on analytics for all digital properties & social media channels.
  • Suggest SEO/SEM strategies to increase our organic rankings and online visibility.
  • Maintain a consistent and authentic brand voice across all social media platforms, reflecting our commitment to excellence and innovation.
  • Collaborate with our in-house content and design teams in producing content and meet design requirements.
  • Work with all corporate and operational areas to identify content needs, curate and develop content and publish across all channels to meet business goals in a timely manner and with a high degree of accuracy.
SOCIAL MEDIA STRATEGY
  • Build, execute, and report on high-impact social media communications plans and tactics to drive engagement with our target audiences, increase traffic to our digital properties, build our thought leadership, and grow our social media communities.
  • Support business goals of building our brand profile, showcasing, and differentiating our products, services, projects, and capabilities across all service lines to be the \xe2\x80\x9cPartner of Choice\xe2\x80\x9d and leveraging the Employer Value Proposition to drive preference for Black & McDonald as the \xe2\x80\x9cEmployer of Choice.\xe2\x80\x9d
  • Implement strategies to position our company as a thought leader in our domain.
REPORTING AND ANALYTICS
  • Analyze data and optimize the social media strategy based on insights to enhance engagement and reach.
  • Report on key metrics using reporting tools to measure the effectiveness of campaigns.
  • Other duties as required by the Asst. Creative Services Manager.
EXPERIENCE WITH TOOLS
  • Social media publishing tools such as Hootsuite/Buffer, etc.
  • Design platforms such as Canva, InDesign, Photoshop.
  • Video creation platforms like InVideo, Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro
  • Project Management tools such as Monday.com, Asana, etc.

Education & Skill Requirements
  • Bachelor\'s degree or diploma in Digital Marketing, Marketing, Communications, or equivalent.
  • Specialized training in social media and digital marketing & communications.
  • Minimum of three years\' experience in Performance Marketing: developing, curating, multi-media content for social media platforms and analyzing performance metrics
  • Proficiency in using video editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.
  • Familiarity with graphic design software, such as Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator.
  • Knowledge of social media best practices, trends, and tools.
  • At least 3 years of experience with deploying successful campaigns and building communities on social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter
  • At least 3 years of experience with Search Engine optimization (SEO), Paid and organic search and SEM (search engine marketing)
  • Proficiency with Facebook Business Manager and Power Editor including the ability to place campaigns, manage delivery and budgets and analyze results.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and under tight deadlines.
  • Superior problem-solving skills
