EmpowHERto partners with black and Latina girls and young women from underserved communities between 14-21, empowering them with the necessary tools to thrive and effect positive systemic change.

EmpowHERto is looking for a Volunteer Social Media Manager with a flair for video content creation to join our company's dynamic Communications department.

The individual will be responsible for creating a variety of fun and engaging content for different kinds of social media platforms to resonate with EmpowHERto's target audience which are girls from underserved communities between the ages of 14 and 21. The individual must have a great understanding of the social media landscape.

Primary Responsibilities:



Research, plan and execute engaging, high-quality social content including videos that drive brand awareness, engagement, and conversion. Create quarterly social media plan and monthly social media content calendar. Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube. Lead video content creation efforts, from concept to final production, including short-form and long-form videos, reels, and live streams. Manage day-to-day social media activities including content scheduling, publishing, and community engagement. Monitor and respond to audience interactions in a timely and engaging manner, fostering positive relationships with followers and influencers. Create paid social media advertising when required. Analyze social media metrics and provide actionable insights to improve performance. Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure content aligns with overall branding and campaigns. Stay up to date with the latest trends and tools in social media, video production, and digital marketing. Coordinate social media campaigns, contests, giveaways, and influencer collaborations

Required Skills/Abilities:



Experience in social media video editing and basic graphic design skills with tools like Canva. Strong understanding of all social media platforms. Passion for empowering young minority women and girls. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines. Creativity and a keen eye for detail to produce visually appealing, impactful content Proven leadership experience in team management, event coordination, or strategic planning, preferably in a nonprofit or volunteer setting. Demonstrated commitment to community engagement through sustained volunteer work or civic involvement that reflects empathy, initiative, and impact
