About the position:
As a Social Media Manager for Snakes & Lattes, you will be part of the Marketing Team and report to the Director of Marketing. Based in Toronto, you will work in a fun, exciting and dynamic environment, and you will be challenged to elevate Snakes & Lattes' brand awareness on all social media platforms.
The position requires fluency in English (spoken and written), strong interpersonal & leadership skills, creativity, and relevant experience in Social Media Management.
Experience in the hospitality industry is an asset. Knowledge of board games is not mandatory, as you will learn as you create content and work with our Game Experts.
Employment Type:
This is a temporary, full-time position covering for an employee on leave. The role is expected to last until the employee returns. There is a possibility that this position may transition into a permanent role.
What you'll be doing:
Oversee and manage social media accounts for all Snakes & Lattes locations (US and Canada) on platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter.
Ensure consistent brand voice and messaging across all social channels.
Develop and implement a comprehensive social media marketing strategy aligned with overall marketing goals.
Create content calendars outlining the schedule for posts and stories.
Schedule posts and stories to maintain a consistent online presence.
Actively engage with online communities by responding to comments and messages.
Interact with related content and creators to build relationships and foster community growth.
Develop and nurture relationships with influencers relevant to the brand.
Identify and execute influencer partnerships to amplify brand reach.
Coordinate and execute social media contests and giveaways to increase engagement and brand visibility.
Setting specific objectives and reporting on ROI. Create comprehensive social media performance reports.
Analyze data to identify trends, track key performance indicators, and provide insights for improvement.
Work closely with the marketing team to align social media efforts with broader marketing initiatives.
Communicate effectively with the Director of Marketing to ensure a cohesive marketing strategy.
Stay up-to-date with social media trends, algorithm changes, and industry best practices.
Adapt strategies based on the evolving social media landscape.
Generate engaging photo and video content that reflects the brand's aesthetic and connects with the target audience.
Create graphics for social media using Canva.
Event graphic design variations using templates (Canva)
Create unique, creative, fun and engaging videos for our TikTok account.
Work closely with our Game Experts to create board game related content.
You will be the primary personality on our TikTok account, creating engaging and creative content that captures the essence of Snakes & Lattes, showcasing our games, atmosphere and events to connect authentically with our audience.
About You

You have a strong knowledge and understanding of social media management, and you know how to create IG Stories, Reels and TikTok videos that stand-out.
You have an eye for aesthetic content and enjoy the video editing process, crafting visually appealing videos that resonate with our audience.
You feel comfortable in presenting and executing your own creative ideas.
You have relevant experience in social media management or social content creation.
You are creative, you have an eye for design, and you are detail-oriented.
You understand the basics of digital marketing.
You have strong organization skills and enjoy multi-tasking.
Qualifications
3-5 years in the marketing and social media space with excellent knowledge in: Blogger / Influencer outreach, social media strategy, social community content, social community management and social media online advertising.
Strong writing skills, photography and digital design skills.
Have experience with softwares such as Canva, Photoshop, Capcut, Premiere Pro, Hootsuite.
Proven record of social media management and content creation.
Undergraduate or Graduate-level university degree in Communications, Business/Marketing or Journalism.
