Why is this role important?

The Social Media Manager is responsible for overseeing and executing the organization\'s social media strategy. They manage and optimize social media campaigns to enhance brand awareness and drive audience engagement. Working closely with the Director, Social Media and Community Management and cross-functional teams, the Social Media Manager develops and implements effective social media initiatives aligned with the company\'s marketing objectives. This role requires a strategic thinker who can leverage various platforms to connect with the target audience and deliver impactful results.

What you\'ll do:

Develop and execute social media strategies aligned with overall marketing objectives to enhance brand visibility, increase engagement, and drive website traffic.

Lead and manage a team made up of social media specialists, providing guidance, feedback, and fostering a collaborative work environment.

Ideate and write social friendly copy.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, creative, and PR, to align social media efforts with overall marketing initiatives.

Curate compelling and on-brand content for social media channels.

Manage day-to-day activities on social media platforms, including content scheduling, posting, monitoring, and reporting.

Conduct social media listening and monitoring to gather insights, track performance metrics, and provide recommendations for optimization.

Stay updated on emerging social media trends, tools, and best practices, and proactively identify opportunities for innovation and growth.

Reporting and presenting social media performance, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders.

Develop and maintain social media guidelines/playbook to ensure consistency in brand voice, messaging, and content across all platforms.

Ensure the integrity of all creative and content according to brand guidelines and standards.

Monitor social media feeds to ensure we are meeting demand and addressing inquiries in a timely manner.

Research and provide recommendations based on best practices, industry trends, and consumer preferences.

Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, team members, and business partners.

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll need:

Post-secondary education equivalent to a college diploma or university degree in marketing, media, or related field

5+ years proven Social Media Management experience

Leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team and foster a collaborative work environment

Excellent knowledge of social media tools and listening platforms such as Sprout Social

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with impeccable proofreading and grammar skills

Exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively source information, pitch, and present ideas, obtain approvals, build relationships, and provide sufficient influence to achieve success

Excellent attention to detail, organizational, communication, and project management skills,

Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and reacting quickly to shifting priorities
