AshtonLive is an online education platform offering live and on-demand professional training, including CPD programs, short courses, and exam preparation. We are expanding and looking for a hands-on Social Media & Digital Marketing Freelancer to help increase our visibility and convert followers into course registrations.

We are not looking for an agency. We want a practical, independent freelancer who can plan, create, and post content consistently across YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram.

Responsibilities

Content Planning & Scheduling

Create a simple monthly content calendar for YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram. Align posts with upcoming livestreams, on-demand courses, and promotions. Schedule content at optimal engagement times.

Content Creation

Turn course topics, instructor insights, and student outcomes into engaging:
- Instagram posts, carousels, Reels

- Facebook and LinkedIn posts

- YouTube Shorts and occasional long-form videos

Repurpose webinar/livestream clips into short-form video content. Write clear, professional captions with strong calls to action.

Brand & Messaging

Maintain consistent visual style and tone according to AshtonLive brand. Help refine course messaging to ensure content is practical, credible, and high-value.

Growth & Analytics

Post consistently across all platforms. Suggest strategies to grow followers, email sign-ups, and course registrations. Track basic analytics and prepare short monthly reports.

Nice to Have

Experience with paid social ads (Meta, LinkedIn, YouTube). Experience with email marketing tools or simple funnels.

Qualifications

Proven experience managing social media for education, training, coaching, or professional services. Skilled with Canva, CapCut, or similar tools. Excellent written English; able to write concise, professional captions. Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision. Proactive and idea-driven. Bonus: Familiarity with CPD, certification, or online learning industries.

Work Location & Schedule

Remote Vancouver, BC (Pacific Time) 8-10 hours per week to start
