ROLE OVERVIEW:We are seeking a Social Media Specialist to join our fast-paced marketing team. The Social Media Specialist will be responsible for building and delivering an organic social strategy for several of our brands while driving awareness through various channels. Our brands currently include:

  • LOVELY WEDDINGS & EVENTS
  • GARY EVANS PHOTOGRAPHY
  • I DO BOX.CA
We are seeking someone who is excited to build on the magic that's been created for each of the above brands, while infusing strategy, creative thinking, and a growth mindset. We are also looking for an individual who has a passion for weddings, events that can support with sales and marketing at wedding shows and supporting our Pop Up Weddings from time to time.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Build and deliver on a social strategy that inspires, engages, and drives awareness for our GARY EVANS Photography brand, our Lovely Weddings & Events brand, and our I DO BOX Subscription box brand.
  • Develop content calendars for our various brands, owning scheduling and publishing of daily content per channel by using LATER.
  • Partner closely with our Director of Operations and owners for relevant content and storytelling moments for the above-mentioned brands.
  • Act as a channel owner for all social media channels. Ensuring that all items are properly tagged, location and appropriate hashtags are utilized for each of our company brands.
  • Create campaign plans for business and marketing priorities, including product launches, seasonal brand sales campaigns and key cultural moments.
  • Write creative captions for each of the assigned brands within the voice that has been established for each to keep with consistency of messaging to target the appropriate market.
  • Participate in monthly meetings for planning to ensure that unique content needs/ opportunities for social are captured.
  • Create and curate content, including short videos from our existing social content libraries, post, and more.
  • Play a key role in our influencer marketing efforts by reposting content and engaging with influencer posts for our Lovely Events and our I Do Box Brands.
  • Own monthly analytic reporting, including follower growth targets and engagement and traffic.
  • Own all social listening efforts, including hashtag monitoring and identifying real-time marketing opportunities.
  • Flexibility to support with weddings shows and our Pop Up Weddings in assisting with support onsite with set-up, sales & marketing, along with support of events from time to time that would be outlined well in advance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience in specialized social or marketing role: experience with working with several social brands.
  • Proven experience developing impactful social media strategies
  • A social media maven - authentically passionate about the field or social. Media and tapped into emerging channels and trends highly proficient in organic social media including Instagram, Tik Tok, FB etc.
  • A great communicator with an ability to write excellent copy and communicate with ease.
  • Highly creative - Known for your stand-out ideas.
  • Flexible and agile with desire to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to wear several brand hats for three diverse companies.
  • Highly organized with an ability to manage content strategies across channels
  • Comfortable with identifying meaningful trends and turning them into action.
  • Cool under pressure and comfortable being the voice of 3 brands with room to grow on various additional projects.
  • High level of ownership and personal responsibilities
  • Proficient in photoshop design and Canva.
  • Event support experience or love for events and wanting to learn more within the weddings and events field.
  • Ability to manage own time and project focused timelines.
This role would be based primarily as a work from home position with a monthly meeting in person or virtually to discuss upcoming initiatives and focuses for social marketing.
