Who you are

As the Social Media Coordinator, Hive Labs, you are a key figure in making our clients\' social media campaigns with us a success. You will work collaboratively with the Sales, Campaign Management, and Branded Editorial teams to both propose and enact strategic and innovative social media campaigns. You will be part of a team of social media experts who will work across ZoomerMedia\'s brands and products on campaigns that meet client needs in a way that connects with our followers in a genuine and engaging way.

This role requires someone who gets excited by what a brand is trying to do and can translate those goals into compelling social content. You\'re an avid follower of digital news and lifestyle sites with an in-depth understanding of what excellent branded content looks like. You love the entertainment industry and are a social media user, whether you\'re dancing on TikTok, or just watching everyone else do it. You\'re an innovative thinker who has the ability to increase social engagement, acquire leads and users, are highly organized and enjoy working in a team.

What you\'ll do

  • Manage client marketing schedules for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, and other social platforms, ensuring all posts adhere to ZoomerMedia brand guidelines and client\'s key messaging
  • Assist with setting up, tracking, optimizing and reporting on Meta, TikTok, Twitter and other various paid campaigns and promotions
  • Writing/editing captions for client social posts (blogTO, Daily Hive, Zoomer) that align with publication brand guidelines, including but not limited to copywriting, image sourcing and/or photography
  • Scheduling and publishing social posts across all social platforms
  • Creating client newsletters and coordinating client approval with Campaign Managers
  • Participating in creative brainstorming sessions to answer client requests for concepts/create proactive proposals
  • Ongoing reporting of monthly, quarterly and annual metrics related to branded social media content
  • Stay up to date on new trends in social media and provide ongoing recommendations for new social initiatives and tactics to deliver traffic for our clients
  • Additional duties as required to support the goals of Hive Labs
  • Work evenings, weekends as needed
What you have
  • Completion of a diploma or degree in Communications, Marketing, or related creative field
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience related to social media or digital marketing
  • General understanding of A/B testing and conversion optimization concepts
  • General understanding of all social media platforms and paid media campaigns on Meta, TikTok, Twitter, and other social media platforms
  • Excellent copywriting skills
  • Experience Adobe Suite (Photoshop) considered an asset
  • Accustomed to using Mailchimp, Google Suite, and Airtable or similar project management software
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver against immediate deadlines
  • A team player attitude and the ability to wear multiple hats to get the job done
  • An aptitude for staying up-to-date and utilizing current and emerging social media technologies, features and best practices
