Summary of Role
As a social media and programming intern at IGNITE, you will be responsible for supporting the organizing and facilitation of events during the months of January to April. You will work with our events team at IGNITE when working through logistics and details on collaborative events with partners and other organizations.
When joining the IGNITE team, you should be passionate about making change and supporting others. Our team is highly collaborative and moves fast on executing new projects and ideas.
Duties and Responsibilities
Participate in pre-planning, marketing, registration and on-site coordination for IGNITE events
Conducting post event surveys and gathering feedback
Working with community organizations and partners to support new ideas in bringing them to life
Supporting social media efforts and marketing ideas to support IGNITE events and promotion
Support youth programming, including creation of content, marketing of events, support with delivery of content.
Manage the front desk, creating a welcoming environment, assisting co workers with onboarding, questions and tours of the space.
Assist Marketing and Communications Coordinator with creating social media content and creation of marketing assets.
Qualifications
Experience with Canva, Eventbrite, Hubspot, Facebook, Instagram, and Linkedin are considered an asset.
Must be a post secondary student
Excellent communication skills
