What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do
We\xe2\x80\x99re Canada\xe2\x80\x99s leading online donor-advised fund. Our products and services make it easier for people to give charitably and create the change they want to see in the world. Yet most Canadians are still unfamiliar with donor-advised funds, which is both a challenge and a huge opportunity to connect the dots for donors of all types.
The Brand Team is looking for a talented Social Media and Content Coordinator to manage our blog and social media channels, plan and create social media content, and contribute to marketing campaign efforts. The role will play a big part in helping to grow Charitable Impact\'s digital presence, audience, and reach. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Brand Content Strategy.
We are a hybrid office, with some team members working from home and in the office.

Your responsibilities
Social Media and Community Management

  • Develop and manage the social content calendar and grow communities for LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram
  • Develop engaging and high-quality social content for two distinct audiences, Canadian donors and financial professionals
  • Brief creative team and manage production of social assets
  • Create engaging and thoughtful social copy
  • Collaborate with the video production team to produce short-form and long-form content
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders and respond quickly to timely events
  • Manage and build community, interact with followers, and respond to comments alongside our Donor Engagement and Experience Team
  • Stay on top of social media trends and industry news in fintech and charitable sectors
  • Measure and evaluate social media performance and implement learnings and insights

Content Planning
  • Collaborate with the Senior Manager, Brand Content Strategy to develop content strategies for blog, email, marketing collateral, campaigns, and more
  • Manage content for blog and email newsletters and partner with designers to develop visual content
  • Measure blog and email performance and perform ongoing content audits to identify opportunities and gaps
  • Support brand and seasonal campaigns to drive awareness and traffic

Strategic Teamwork
  • Work in close collaboration with content strategists in Product and Brand, as well as Designers and other key stakeholders, to contribute to and share a cohesive and compelling brand
  • Collaborate with the Growth & Performance team to ensure content strategies support growth of communities
  • Work in close collaboration with Senior Manager, Brand Content Strategy to ensure content channels contribute to department and company goals

  • Degree or diploma in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in an agency, in-house marketing department, or similar role
  • Ability to translate complex concepts and messages into clear and engaging content and copy
  • Demonstrated experience in growing social communities and developing content that serves a purpose and meets goals
  • Solid understanding of digital platforms, including social media channels, social management tools and Google Analytics
  • Demonstrated knowledge of SEO best practices and keyword search
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to bring forward creative ideas to advance organizational goals
  • Not afraid to experiment with ideas, are analytical, adaptable and able to pivot based on feedback
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent teamwork skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
