With 25 years of experience, we've helped launch hundreds of enterprises, supported thousands of individuals through asset building, and helped finance over 450 housing units - and we're scaling up to do even more. About the Role



The Social Finance Officer plays a critical role in our Social Finance team by evaluating and supporting affordable housing and enterprise loan applications. This position involves conducting financial and risk analyses, ensuring due diligence, preparing recommendations, and collaborating with internal and external partners to ensure the success and sustainability of projects financed through the

KSI Social Impact Fund

. Your role is to move capital into projects.

Key Responsibilities



Managing the Loan Process

Meet with applicants to provide clear eligibility and loan requirements, and guide them through the loan process, providing timely feedback to get a complete loan application. Review and assess loan applications for affordable housing and social enterprise projects. Analyze financial statements, business plans, and supporting documents. Review legal and regulatory materials to ensure adherence to internal policies. Prepare detailed recommendations and reports in a timely fashion for CEO sign off and for Loan Committee decision making.
Research & Reporting

Maintain up to date records in the Loan Software and CRM Maintain a full understanding of government policy and programs that support housing and social enterprise financing. Produce concise market and project reports to support decision-making. Supervise summer interns and contribute to impact measurement and reporting. Meet weekly with team to review pipeline, and borrower challenges and solutions. Present loan pipeline and borrower payment summary once per month to the Loan Committee.
Market Development and Planning

Promote loan products at regional events. Support the CEO and Fund Development Director in capital planning, financial modeling, and fund growth initiatives. Participate in annual strategic planning and priority setting.

Qualifications



Degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field. Experience and aptitude analysing financial statements, financial projections and business plans. Proficiency in Excel; experience with loan management systems an asset.

Ability to work in both official languages

and build trust and lasting relationships with our clients and partners. Collaborative mindset and passion for social impact and inclusive growth. A driving licence and ability to travel through out the region.
