Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Social & Digital Media Specialist on a permanent basis.


We are seeking a trendspotting, socially savvy expert to join our marketing team. If you're comfortable appearing on camera and well-versed in the insights behind content, we encourage you to apply! The successful candidate will help us connect with communities, showcase our brand, and bring major campaigns to life through collaborative, story-driven social media. This is an opportunity to be the voice that keeps our brand strong, and our communities inspired.


This position is hybrid opportunity. The successful candidate will work primarily from home but will be required to do in-person shoots on a biweekly basis. We are seeking candidates located in Saskatoon, Regina, Winnipeg, or Edmonton.


What you'll do:



Create engaging, organic social media content that aligns with brand and campaign strategies, tailored for each platform. Plan, schedule, and publish content using Sprout Social, ensuring coordination with paid media efforts and internal teams. Track content performance against established benchmarks, providing monthly reports and data-driven recommendations to stakeholders. Manage online interactions, responding to inquiries, moderating discussions, and fostering a positive digital community. Partner with local Co-ops to showcase community stories, uphold social media best practices, and support influencer and campaign initiatives.

Who you'll work with

You will report to and work closely with the Supervisor, Social Media on a team that values relationship building and innovation. You will collaborate often with our larger marketing team including other specialists, copywriters, and our Media Buyer. This team also provides dedicated expertise to local Co-ops by helping them optimize their social media presence.

Who you are:



You are looking for a career in marketing & communications and:


Have 3-6 years experience in digital marketing and social media. Have a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or journalism (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered). Have strong copywriting and visual content creation skills for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube. Are familiar with SEO principles and Canva.
As part of your application, please submit a portfolio of past work or links to recent social media content you've created. We're especially interested in seeing examples of organic content and at least one piece that features you on camera (e.g., Reels, TikToks, story content, etc.).
