Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Companion to provide support and companionship to individuals in need. This role is essential in enhancing the quality of life for clients, particularly those in assisted living, home care, or hospice settings. The ideal candidate will possess a nurturing spirit and a willingness to engage with clients on a personal level, ensuring their emotional and physical well-being.

Duties

Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and engaging environment. Engage clients in social activities and conversation to promote mental stimulation and emotional health. Drive client in your own vehicle for community outings (mileage paid). Document client progress and any changes in condition as required.

Qualifications

Experience in home care, assisted living, nursing home, or hospice care is preferred. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients. Knowledge of patient care practices is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs. Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care. Certification or training in nursing or related fields is a plus but not mandatory. Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team. Must be fluent in English
