Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Soccer Coach Manager to lead our Little Kickers programs in Ottawa. The Soccer Coach Manager will play a pivotal role in our coaching team, ensuring the successful implementation of our soccer programs while maintaining high standards of coaching excellence.

Responsibilities:

1. To pro-actively manage the day to day coaching operations of the business which
may include (this list is not exhaustive)
2. The organization, communication and detailed daily management of coaching
schedules including planning holiday and emergency cover across all venues?
3. Interviewing, recruitment, induction, monitoring, and exit processing of employees
4. Issuing and checking daily session attendance registers against computer records
5. Assisting with the promotion, marketing and sales of Little Kickers activity sessions
6. Dealing with venue managers and managing venue bookings
7. Booking/running trial classes and promotional events

Additional Duties:

Participate in coaches' training sessions and ongoing professional development throughout the season. Assist in the distribution of equipment and uniforms to coaches as directed by the Management team. Conduct on-site coach evaluations, providing constructive feedback and identifying equipment and uniform needs. Maintain regular communication with the Management team, providing updates on staffing, evaluations, and program issues. Cover coaching shifts as required due to scheduling or emergencies. Respond promptly to emergency situations during sessions. Ensure accurate completion of weekly attendance trackers for all program areas, reporting to the Coaching Manager upon completion.

Qualifications:

Previous coaching experience with young children (ages 18 months to 8 years) is preferred. Strong organizational and leadership skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Passion for youth development through sports and recreation. Will be required to have access to a vehicle at all times. Valid coaching certifications or willingness to obtain (e.g., NCCP, First Aid/CPR, vulnerable sector check).

Work Schedule and Compensation:

Hourly wage: $20.00/hour to start The majority of duties are during regular weekday and weekend shifts. Potential for additional coaching hours during summer weeks.
