Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Sidewalk Labourer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe and efficient snow removal operations in various environments. This role requires a strong understanding of landscape maintenance, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate both hand and power tools effectively. The Snow Plow Operator will play a crucial role in maintaining clear and accessible roadways and pathways during winter weather conditions.

Duties

- Early mornings, clearing various sidewalks accross the city.
- Maintain and inspect equipment before and after use to ensure proper functioning.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for additional snow removal tasks as needed.
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including digging, building, and gardening as required.
- Assist with the irrigation of landscaped areas during non-winter months.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure personal safety and the safety of others while operating machinery.
- Report any mechanical issues or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor promptly.

Experience

- Previous snow removal experience would be a advantage!
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in varying weather conditions.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools (blowers, snow throwers) , and other equipment related to snow removal is essential.

Job Type: Seasonal
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $19.50-$22.50 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 60 per week
