Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Snow Plow Operator to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring safe and accessible roadways during winter weather conditions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in landscape maintenance, mechanical knowledge, and experience with various tools and equipment. This position requires a commitment to safety and efficiency while performing snow removal tasks.

Responsibilities

Operate snow plow equipment to clear roads, parking lots, and walkways of snow and ice during winter storms. Perform routine maintenance on snow plow machinery to ensure optimal performance. Utilize hand tools and power tools for additional snow removal tasks as needed. Collaborate with team members to coordinate snow removal efforts effectively. Monitor weather conditions and respond promptly to changing situations. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including hours worked and materials used. Assist in landscaping duties during off-season, including gardening, irrigation installation, and horticulture tasks.

Requirements

Proven experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators or snow plows is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues. Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in maintenance and construction work. Background in landscape maintenance or horticulture is a plus. Ability to work long hours during adverse weather conditions, including nights and weekends as required. Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment. A valid driver's license is required; a commercial driver's license (CDL) is preferred but not mandatory.
