Job Summary
The Snowblower Operator is responsible for ensuring safe and efficient snow removal operations during winter weather conditions. This role requires a proactive and skilled individual who can operate various snow removal equipment, maintain landscaping, and perform related duties to keep roadways and properties clear of snow and ice. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical knowledge and a strong commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate snowblowers and other equipment to clear snow from driveways, parking lots, and walkways.
• Perform routine maintenance on snow removal equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools for various tasks related to snow removal and landscape maintenance.
• Maintain landscaped areas by irrigating, digging, building, and performing other necessary upkeep tasks.
• Monitor weather conditions and respond promptly to changing conditions to ensure timely snow removal.
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate efforts during severe weather events.
• Follow safety protocols at all times while operating machinery and performing manual labor.

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge for the maintenance of snow removal equipment.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools effectively and safely.
• Experience in snow clearing including the ability to use snowblower and other equipment needed.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in adverse weather conditions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all tasks performed.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members effectively.

Job Type: Seasonal
Contract length: 2 months

Pay: $15.71-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 - 40 per week
