SMT Technician



CCI Canadian Circuits Inc. is a leader in printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing for over 30 years serving technology companies in Canada and USA. CCI Canadian Circuits Inc. is expanding into the electronics assembly business and is looking to hire a full-time, SMT Technician to run our SMT automation machines in our manufacturing plant. The SMT Technician role is accountable for machine operations, programming and setup, process compliance, production on-time deliverables, and quality conformance.

What You will Do



Operate a complete SMT automation line of equipment, including stencil printer, pick-and-place machine, and reflow oven

Set up and program machines according to production specifications and job instruction

Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, practice 5S principles

Conduct quality inspections throughout the production process, identifying and addressing defects to maintain a high level of quality control

Perform basic machine troubleshooting and communicate any issues to maintenance personnel

Hand placing parts that the machine is not capable of auto-placing

Maintain accurate production records and documentation

Continuously improve processes by identifying and implementing lean manufacturing principles

Work collaboratively with team members to achieve production goals

What You Will Need



5-6 years of experience Panasonic NPM or AM100 in SMT operations. Familiar with DGS Programs

Post-secondary degree or diploma in electronics, manufacturing, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Strong commitment to quality and a keen eye for detail.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in clear English

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and strong math skills

Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing work environments

A strong work ethic, with a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement (lean manufacturing principles)

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Reliable and dependable

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay Range: $20.00 to $26.00 per hour (based on experience)
