Fluxwerx, a division of LMPG, Inc., is an industry leader in the design, development and manufacturing of award-winning commercial lighting products, shipping to major building projects across North America and around the world.

We are currently looking for an energetic and enthusiastic SMT Set up operator to join our SMT department. In this role you will prepare SMT jobs to go on the production line, manage SMT inventory and provide assistance to the SMT production activities. This will be an afternoon shift from 3:00PM to 11:30PM.

Duties:

Gather and load SMT component reels on feeders for SMT production Verify incoming SMT inventory and store them in specific locations. Operate label printers, print various labels that are required for SMT production Provide assistance to the line operators during job teardowns and changeovers. Perform touch up and rework of SMT components on PCBAs.

You bring:

Experience in component verification and inventory management activities. Knowledge of SMDs such as, types of components, component sizes and the basic functionality of each type of component is an asset. A minimum of 1 year SMT manufacturing experience. Knowledge of IPC-A -610 standards is an asset. Adequate understanding of ESD, MSL and how to safeguard electronics from them.

Demonstrated Skills:

Strictly follows company policies, departmental SOPs and work instructions. Ability to work in a high-pressure production environment. Detail oriented and well organized. Excellent English communication skills (written, verbal) of both technical and non-technical topics. Strong team player while able to function independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities delivering results with high standards. Takes initiative and delivers consistent positive results.
