Summary:

This position performs the function of operating the surface mount assembly equipment. The SMT Operator will ensure all work performed adheres to all organizational standards as well as safety regulations and guidelines. This is a labour intensive position requiring individuals to perform repetitive tasks and stand for long periods of time.

Job Duties:

Changeovers, loading proper components onto MyData pick and place machine, unloading feeders Using solder paste stencil machine and reflow oven Streamline changeovers/run times minimizing downtime Developing manufacturing processes in the Circuit Board manufacturing Programming Mydata SMT equipment, Orbotech AOI equipment, Electrovert wave soldering equipment and OPUS Selective Soldering equipment. Ordering stencils

Requirements:

Proficient in operating equipment in the SMT process (EKRA stencil printers, Mydata SMT equipment, Electrovert Omniflow reflow ovens, OPUS Selective solder and Soltech Reflow equipment) 2 or more years experience in the operation of Mydata Surface Mount equipment Experience using CircuitCAM or full Aegis software package Ability to identify components Perform all work to organizational standards to ensure final product meets quality standards Determine and report product and equipment malfunctions to the appropriate authority Maintain cleanliness of equipment and assigned work area at all times Work effectively as part of a team to ensure productivity and efficiency Ensure all equipment is operated according to equipment manufacturers instructions and safety guidelines are followed. Participate in educational and training opportunities applicable to the position Other duties shall be assigned as required

Work Conditions:

Job requires ability to work with a variety of hand and power tools. Use of Personal Protection Equipment will be required (e.g. hard-hat, safety boots, etc.). Regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in conditions that include heat and humidity, and exposure to dust. Requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination.

Start Date: ASAP

Vacation: 3 weeks PTO

Status: Full-time position

Shift: Monday to Thursday, 1:30pm to 12:00am
